Introduction:
This is a fantastic introductory tour into the historic and medieval cities and
towns of Romania. Upon flight arrival into Bucharest, your private guide will
meet you on the arrivals level and transfer you to your hotel; there will be a
panoramic city tours en route, and depending on arrival time, we may have the
option for a for a short sightseeing tour of
Bucharest.
The following morning will be spent touring Bucharest’s most famous sites. In
the afternoon we will leave the capitol and depart for
Sibiu; one of Romania’s best preserved medieval
towns. After an overnight in Sibiu, we will then head deeper into Transylvania,
to the town of
Sighisoara; birthplace of Vlad Tepes
AKA
Dracula. En route from Sibiu, we will be
stopping at many medieval sites and monuments. After an overnight in Sighisoara,
you will have the morning free to explore the town before we depart for
Brasov, and further on to the Pearl of the
Carpathian’s;
Sinaia. Our last night will be spent in this
fantastic resort town, with a visit to
Peles palace, one of Europe’s most spectacular
Castles.
Accommodations for this tour are in 3 or 4 Star hotels; or family run
guesthouses and pensions; the option is left to you and your preferences.
