Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1:
ROUTING: BUCHAREST - BRASOV - BRAN AREA
- Your English-speaking specialist guide will pick you up from your location in Bucharest (Hotel, Airport, etc...)
- Departure from Bucharest to Bran area, a village near of Brasov.
- Dinner and overnight in a 3 stars pension.

Day 2:
ROUTING: BRAN - VISCRI
- Breakfast.
- In the morning we will visit at a local sheepyard where we will see the old way of collecting milk and making cheese. Bran area is famous in Romania for it's farmers and cheese made here.
- Then we will depart for Viscri, and old village inhabited mostly by Germans (Saxons). The community of Saxons, whose ancestors founded the village more than 800 years ago, has successfully preserved Viscri's traditional way of life, thanks in large part to its difficult access to the main road. Blue Saxon houses lend an air of distinction to the already picturesque surroundings and the beautiful white fortified church dates back to 1230. More than visiting the old houses, the old church, the mignon handicrafts shop, tourists can enjoy true Saxon hospitality, home-cooked meals and a trip back in time.

Day 3:
ROUTING: VISCRI - SIGHISOARA - BIERTAN - BLAJ - AIUD - COLTESTI
- Breakfast.
- Departure from Viscri to Sighisoara, a medieval citadel built in XII century, also known as "The Pearl of Transylvania". It is one of the very few medieval citadels still inhabited.
- Near to Sighisoara weâ™ll visit the Fortified Church from Biertan, one of the biggest from Transylvania with three defensive inner walls.
- We continue our way to Coltesti, a village in Alba County inhabited by Hungarians (secui). The village has a long history being mentioned for the first time in XIII century. Also here are the ruins of a old medieval citadels dating from XII century. Activities on site: visit at the House of Folk Arts, which collects the masterpieces of the locals, see how the local speciality "Somogyi" cake and homemade bread are made, tasting of local cheese.
- Dinner and overnight in a 4 stars mansion from the village.

Day 4:
ROUTING: COLTESTI - LUPSA - CIMPENI - VIDRA
- Breakfast.
- We continue our route in the Apuseni Mountains the western chain of Carpathians, a region outside of the main tourist routes but a place where one can enjoy the beauty of the mountains and local charm and traditions.
- First stop at Lupsa monastery and ethnography museum, where you can see a collection of folk costumes from the area and also collections of tools, domestic objects and old books.
- The day weâ™ll end in Vidra village. Here is the memorial house of Avram Iancu, a Romanian leader of the revolution from 1848. The area is a place of amazing natural beauty situated in the mountains on the valley of the Little Aries river, it is almost virgin land for tourism but also the perfect place to see the way of life of the people. The Romanians which live here are also known as "moti" and they are famous for their courage, pride and skills. Traditional craftmens can be found and visited on their workshops, espacily those who work with wood making barrels or other woodcrafts. Also a visit to the local House of Folk Arts and Ethnography.

Day 5:
ROUTING: VIDRA - ARIESENI - BEIUS - ROSIA
- Breakfast.
- Depart from Vidra and we go to Arieseni, a mountain resort very popular in winter time. Near is a village of Patrahaitesti, famous for its local craftsmens, wood carvers, weavers, etc...
- Continuing to the north in another area from Apuseni Mountains in the village of Rosia, which has a large surface area and it lies at the edge of the mountains. The village has beautiful landscapes, mountain rivers, caves and large forests and it is the base for hiking, caving and adventure tours in Apuseni Montains. It is also a place where old handicrafts are very well preserved. Weâ™ll visit the house for local craftsmen who make a unique music instrument â“ the violin with horn, a traditional instrument for this area. Also in the site can be visited a old watermill which still works, a eggs painting shop, one workshop where traditional drink "palinca" is made, an old blacksmith workshop, etc...
- Dinner and overnight in a pension from the village.

Day 6:
ROUTING: ROSIA - DEVA - SIBIU
- Breakfast.
- We say farewell to our hosts
- Next stop on the tour will be near Sibiu.
- The villages from the area are known as "Marginimea Sibiului" and it is another place very popular for rural tourism. We will visit the Museum of Painted Icons in Sibiel, Folk Costumes Muesum and Village Museum-Sibiu.

Day 7:
ROUTING: SIBIU - HOREZU
- Breakfast.
- In the morning weâ™ll go for a visit in the medieval center of Sibiu. Bruckental Palace, Little and Big Square, Evanghelical Cathedral are only a part of the important sights.
- Then we cross the Carpathians Montains to south and weâ™ll stop at Horezu for a visit at Horezu Monastery (included in Unesco Heritages List). The Monastery of Horezu was founded in 1690 by Prince Constantin Brancoveanu in the town of Horezu. It is considered to be a masterpiece of "Brâncovean" style, known for its architectural purity and balance, the richness of its sculpted detail, its treatment of religious compositions, its votive portraits, and its painted decorative works. The town of Horezu is well known for its people who make pottery and present it at an annual fair. There are special traditions which have been well preserved. Visit the Pottery Center.

- Breakfast and transfer to Bucharest International Airport or in other location from Bucharest.
