Day 1:
ROUTING: BUCHAREST
- Your English-speaking specialist guide will pick you up from your location in
Bucharest (Hotel, Airport, etc...)
- Depending of your arrival time we can arrange a short tour of Bucharest â“ the
Capital of Romania. Main highlights: House of Free Press, Government Palace,
Revolution Square, Royal Palace, Atheneum, Parliament Palace or House of the
People â“ the second largest building from the world after Pentagon.

Day 2:
ROUTING: BUCHAREST - TULCEA
- Breakfast
- Depart to Tulcea the start point for an amazing visit to the Danube Delta -
declared the Natural Biosphere of the Danube Delta by UNESCO!
- Lunch enroute
- Arrival to Tulcea; the capital and gate way to the Danube Delta
- Dinner at accommodation
- Overnight in Tulcea

Day 3:
ROUTING: TULCEA - SULINA - IULIA CANAL - SONTEA - MILA 23
- Breakfast
- Prepare your eyes for a huge day of bird, watching crossing great lakes,
and breathtaking canals
- Starting Tulcea by Sulina canal.Crossing Sulina canal, Iulia canal, Sontea
canal arriving in Mila 23 village.
- Visit in the village, sun set on Ligheanca lake
- Mila 23 is a small fishermen village situated in the heart of the Danube
Delta.
- A nice day for exploring, we could see some villages further along the
Danube river, nice
canals and lakes. Birds we can see today are herons, storks, king fishers,
pelicans, rollers, among others
- Lunch on boat, dinner and accommodation
- Overnight in Mila 23

Day 4:
ROUTING: MILA 23 - SONTEA - OLGUTZA - SIREASA - MILA 35 CANALS - TULCEA
- After the breakfast at the guest house, starting another nice day, return
to Tulcea town through Sontea, Olgutza, Sireasa, Mila 35 canals.
- A short break for coffee on Fortuna lake will be great.
- As for birds...full day for herons, swans, pelicans, egrets, white tailed
eagle and many others..
- Lunch on boat, dinner and accommodation
- Overnight in Tulcea

Day 5:
ROUTING:
TULCEA - SINAIA
- Breakfast in Hotel
- Today we begin our journey to the Carpathian Mountains. It will be a full day
of driving and we will be sure to include many interesting stops on the way with
photo opportunities
- Lunch enroute
- Upon arrival to Sinaia you will be dropped off at your hotel
- Sinaia
is one of Romania's most important mountain resort towns. Known as the "Pearl of
the Carpathians" for its breathtaking natural surroundings
- You will have the first evening on your own to experience the town's many
unique and traditional bars and restaurants.

Day 6:
ROUTING:
SINAIA - BRAN - RASNOV - BRASOV
- Breakfast
- This morning you will enjoy an intensive tour of
Peles
Palace; a stunning Renaissance style palace built by royalty in 1878, inside
it contains an impressive collection of medieval arms
- Then continuing to
Bran
Castle; the fictional "Dracula Castle"
- Why is Bran so famous? It is a rich village, situated 28 km from Brasov, the
village commands the entrance to the pass of the same name, once the main route
into Wallachia .
- The Saxons from Brasov built a castle here in 1377 â“ 1382 to safeguard this
vital trade artery and although what's now stated on every tourist brochure as
Dracula's Castle. It has only few associations with Vlad the Impaler â“ it is
said that he sieged it in 1460 on an attack of the land of Bran.
- One of its famous residents was Queen Marie of Romania, the granddaughter of
Queen Victoria and married to prince Ferdinand in 1893.
- Today this region is full of beautiful guesthouses, the landscapes are some of
the most beautiful in the country
- Visit to the castle
- After we will go to Rasnov to visit the Peasant Citadel (fort in ruins)
founded in 1225 by the Teutonic Knights, with beautiful mountains of the Barsei
land
- Ending the day in the Medieval Town of Brasov; one of the most historical
towns of Transylvania and the most visited in Romania
- Evening at your leisure

Day 6:
ROUTING:
BRASOV - HARMAN - PREJMER - SIGHISOARA
- Breakfast
- Visit the old center of Brasov. Black Church â“ the biggest religios building
from South-East of Europe, The Black and White Towers, Ecaterinaâ™s Gate,
Weaverâ™s Bastion, The Ropeâ™s Street, Council Square are the most important sites
to be seen.
- Then we will visit the Harman Fortified Church; a Roman basilica with Gothic
elements. The west tower, chapels and water moat still maintain this era today.
Inside you can find paintings dated back to the 13th century
- After we go to Prejmer to see another near buy Fortified Chruch
- Prejmer fortified church is the biggest fortress of its kind from East Europe
built in the 14th century. The fortress has double walls and dungeons. Inside
its walls there is a church, but the interesting thing here is the honeycomb
like inner wall. Every family had one small room for sheltering in case the
village was attacked.
- Continuing to Sighisoara. Enroute we can admire the old saxon architecture in
the villages, the church and citadel from Saschiz, the citadel of Rupea, etc...
- End the day in Sighisoara

Day 7:
ROUTING: SIGHISOARA - BIERTAN - MEDIAS - SLIMNIC - SIBIU
- Breakfast
- Visit Sighisoara (UNESCO) "The Pearl of Transylvania" a wonderful medieval
city where you can still enjoy the medieval atmosphere. Visits to the Clock
Tower and History Museum, Birthplace House of Vlad the Impaler, Covered Stairs,
Church on the Hill, etc..
- Then we continue to explore a region with beautiful Saxon citadels and
fortresses.
- Stop at Biertan (UNESCO) for the Saxon fortified church from here second
largest from south-east of Europe and at Slimnic to see the old Saxon fortress.
- Arriving in Sibiu and visit the old center of the city. Sibiu was The European
Capital of Culture in 2007. Main highlights: Little Square and Grand Square,
Evanghelical Cathedral, Lierâ™s Bridge, Bruckental Museum, defensive towers and
fortifications, etc...
- Overnight in Sibiu

Day 8:
ROUTING: SIBIU - COZIA - HOREZU - BUCHAREST
- Breakfast
- Today we start the route back to Bucharest through a road with amazing
landscape of the mountains mixed with cultural sites like Cozia and Horezu
Monasteries.
- Cozia Monastery, erected by Mircea cel Bătrân in 1388 and boasting his
tomb, is one of the most valuable monuments of national medieval art and
architecture in Romania. Wall facets' decorations with original stone rosettes
and frames display early Byzantine influence. Of great value is the hospital
church, 'bolniţa' (1543), with original well-preserved indoor frescoes like the
votive portrait of ruler Mircea cel Bătrân and his sons. Cozia was painted
between 1390 and 1931. Some of the original frescoes (1390) are still well
preserved. The monastery features a museum of exhibiting old art: icons, old
manuscripts and prints, embroideries and objects of worship.
- The Monastery of Horezu was founded in 1690 by Prince Constantin
Brâncoveanu in the town of Horezu, Wallachia, Romania. It is considered to be a
masterpiece of "Brâncovean" style, known for its architectural purity and
balance, the richness of its sculpted detail, its treatment of religious
compositions, its votive portraits, and its painted decorative works. The town
of Horezu is well known for its people who make pottery and present it at an
annual fair. There are special traditions which have been well preserved.
