Introduction:

Enjoy a full day tour from
Bucharest to discover Romanian wine. We will visit two of the most important
cellars of Prahova Valley Vineyards: Rhein Azuga and Urlateanu Cellar. Wine
tasting, visit the vineyards, good food and great landscapes are included in
this tour.
Pick-up in the morning 9.00-9.30 AM from your location in Bucharest. Depart on
the route to the hills area in South Carpathians. First stop will be in the town
of Azuga where we visit Rhein Cellar, which is considered the oldest
location from the country which produces sparkling wine using the traditional
method of making champagne. The cellar is the official supplier for "Romanian
Royal Court". The cellars were built in a surface with double walls with natural
ventilation and here one can find more about the way of wine from the start to
maturation and have a tasting session of sparkling wines. Itâ™s also a chance to
upgrade your wine collection.
From
Azuga we then go to another cellar named "Urlateanu Manor". Built in
1920, the manor and cellar introduce you in a world of traditions where the
story of wine itâ™s mixed with the taste of local cuisine. Visit the cellar,
short presentation of wine technology, wine tasting.
After we will enjoy a traditional lunch. After lunch a short walking to enjoy
the beautiful view of the hills and vineyards. Return to Bucharest and drop-off
at your location.
