Introduction:
Journey through the footsteps
of the famous Vlad The Impaler the Romanian ruler from the 15th century.
Otherwise known as Dracula. This tour focuses on the true legend and not so much
the myth you may have read or seen in the movies. Your personal tour guide will
explain in-depth the history of Vlad Tepes.
We
will start the tour by visiting his birthplace town of Sighisoara; an almost
untouched citadel still inhabited today. After tour of the fortified city you
can enjoy a meal in the house where Vlad was born (now a restaurant). Then
moving onto the medieval town of Brasov which was one of Vlad's most prosperous
cities. After visiting the Bran Castle, known to many people as Dracula's Castle
but this is heavily disputed.
This
tour would not be complete without a visit to the Real Castle of Dracula;
Poenari Castle. Situated on a cliff which is reached by a stairway with approx
1,400 steps to the top. The castle is now in ruins. After we will go to Targoviste where is Princely Court; this was Vlad Tepes' command centre during
the wars against the Ottoman Empire. Before ending the tour Snagov Lake will be
out last stop. In the middle of the lake is a Monastery where it is said that
lies the tomb of Dracula himself. After returning to Bucharest and the final
good-bye from your tour guide.
Trace the
Footsteps of the True Dracula!!!
